Dear friends, the Czech sludge-doom fen turns denser still, for today is the official release of the new studio opus "Dragon Tail Revelation" by Blues For The Redsun on black vinyl!

A crushing return. Blues For The Redsun unleash a new album!
One full-length, two long tracks, an overwhelming force… Blues For The Redsun break their studio slumber and re-emerge with a new opus. Entitled Dragon Tail Revelation, the album is certainly one of the current principal affairs on the Czech sludge/doom scene.
Why two tracks? For the band intended from the beginning to release the new offering on vinyl (which is precisely what happened in the end). The concept thus was to have one track on one side. “From our very beginning we write songs that exceed ten minutes of playing time. Our first full-length had but one 40 minutes long track and was released only on CD, since such length and form would be very difficult to translate onto a vinyl,” explains Jakub Mořický, who is in charge of samples and vocals.
The vinyl format is important for the band, as there are passionate collectors in its midst. “In fact, throughout my whole ‘career’ of a fan of music, I have been buying predominantly vinyls. The CD format was something I refused for long years. That said, I must admit I have warmed up to it a bit in the past ten years, and I don’t really have a problem even with buying music digitally via Bandcamp. However, the vinyls and MCs will most likely still take precedence over everything else till the very end,” says Jakub.

The vinyl is released by MetalGate Records, a label that has been focusing lately on the experimental forms of metal. It has long worked with Blues For The Redsun, but only now has the full-length come to fruition.
Blues For The Redsun worked on Dragon Tail Revelation between 2023 and 2024, with recording sessions taking place in the Golden Hive studio. The album art was taken care of by the Czech visual artist and graphic designer Jiří Adámek.
The band shall now focus on promoting their new release, be it with a new music video or with live shows. After all, the new tracks are great for a live presentation.
