Dear friends, if you revel in music weird and weirder still, the experimental one where there are no clear rules both without, the genre ones, and within, the composition ones, then you cannot miss the debut full-length "THEURN" of the Silesian sludge/drone/noise/doom act Anurrn, which is released today!

From the depths of dust and metal grows a liturgy of sound. Heavy, slow and vehement recording entitled THEURN. What we speak of is the debut full-length of Anurrn, which is now released in CD and MC formats to perturb the Czech sludge, noise and psychedelics scene.
The album was recorded in the Low Resolution Studio, wherein the band intended to reach the highest possible levels of murkiness and fusion of the aforementioned genres, as well as of other influences. “We enjoy the strain and the atmosphere, which instills the feelings of anguish, fear and uneasiness. We then insert all that into a solid, pulsing rhythmics with electro-noise samples that in various moments assert their musical dominance,” say Anurrn, who emerged at the end of 2023.
THEURN is released by the Prague-based label MetalGate. “If a band truly means business, it is essential to release under an official label. That we managed to sign a deal with MetalGate is fortunate for us, but at the same time a challenge.”

The original vision was to have the recording released on vinyl, but as Anurrn admit, they did not properly consider the overall length, which meant the album would have to come out on double vinyl, with only one song being on the second disc. The band however would not give up on an analog medium, and so they came up with an alternative – the cassette – which complements the main format of CD.
Anurrn are ready to support THEURN with live shows, aiming also for the festival stages. Of particular note is the album release party that is taking place February 14 in the Provoz center for culture in Ostrava.
