Dear friends, we are at the third installment of our coverage regarding the upcoming Czech edition of the official biography of the Suomi metal icon Amorphis by the writer, journalist and musician Markus Laakso. Today is about the visual side of the book and its content in more detail.
First, we hereby present the frontcover, whereby our edition follows the cover of the original, created by the Finnish graphic designer Tommi Tukiainen.

Second, the contents. This time, the main body of the text covers more than 430 pages, divided into four parts:
I. The Beginning of Times
"It did have a name: Isolohko" / "We are still The Animals, but just a lot better!" / Violent Solution - "I wanted to do nothing else other than play in a band" / Abhorrence - "For once it felt like we were in the right place, and even on time"
II. Tales from the Thousand Lakes
The birth of Amorphis / Deal with Relapse / The Karelian Isthmus sessions / The most important thing was to find a good melody / Tales from the Thousand Lakes / Mystic music video sessions in Germany / First European tour / North American tour for Tales / Nuclear Blast Festival Tour 1995 / Towards a more progressive expression / The problematic recording sessions of Elegy / The tour with Paradise Lost and the mixing of Elegy / The release of Elegy and the following tours
III. Far from the Sun
Tuonela / Oppu leaves the band and the North American tour for Tuonela / Am Universum / Far from the Sun
IV. Skyforger
Things couldn’t get any worse / Eclipse / Silent Waters / Skyforger / The Beginning of Times / Circle / Afterword: Towards a New Dawn
Completing the main body of the work are the author's opening remarks, a discography overview, and of course plenty of archival photos, both alongside the text itself, as well as in a 16-pages photo insert.
And that is again it for today. Enjoy and more next time!
