The resurrection of the Revoltikon book! The autobiography of Bruno got a new edition
The moment has come! The long sold-out autobiography of the death metal matador Bruno Kovařík (Hypnos, Krabathor) is back on the market. And in a brand-new edition no less by MetalGate Publishing.
“I have pursued a reissue for several years now,” says Bruno. “I regularly answer questions as to where to get the book, people are looking for it by posting classifieds and so on. Hence, I am glad that MetalGate found this a worthy endeavor and gave it a green light.”
MetalGate has recently specialized in publishing especially extreme metal literature. The Revoltikon thus fits brilliantly into their expanding portfolio of titles. And while the book was endowed with a new design, layout and cover art, the text itself remains the same. According to the author, to do otherwise would have been unfair to those fans that already have the previous edition.
The Revoltikon is a chronicle of Bruno’s rich life and musical career. And since his bands Krabathor and Hypnos wrote the history of Czech death metal, there is plenty to tell indeed. The book, however, does not rest on his words alone. A significant space was given also to period texts, be that album reviews or concert reports. The result is a colorful and very captivating opus that is very hard to put away. In addition, it also stands as an important testament of the times.
