Dear friends, though the current situation is not forthcoming to bands across the board, there is no shortage of noteworthy projects on the scene. Take for example the most recent news from the ranks of our friends from the Lovecraftian act Postcards From Arkham in the form of a short film entitled "Yidhra" that premiered last week.

As you can guess from its title, this piece is a follow up to the current PFA full-length "Øakvyl", and is the creation of not only the aforementioned Czech worshippers of worlds beyond the angled space, but also of another unique artistic collective from the local scene, namely of Jeden kmen.

It is apt to note that these two hardly comprehensible artistic subjects have been cooperating for a long time now, so when the aforementioned fourth studio album of PFA, which apropos has been receiving wide acclaim from critics and fans of "weird" music alike, was taking shape, it was another opportunity to unite the creative potential of the two. The result were two songs, "Prologue" and "Yidhra", ranging music-wise from ritual ambient to black metal, that open the whole album.

And it is to these two songs that the eponymous short musical film relates, presenting a tale inspired not only by H. P. Lovecraft, but also by the dystopian visions of G. Orwell, whereby two distinct conceptions of evil and inevitability were interwoven in one piece of art. No matter then if you prefer the cosmic horror of Necronomicon or the dreadful mechanism of a totalitarian society, you should not miss this latest offering.

Written and produced by Frodys - Audiovisual Weird Arts and Ctibor (Jeden kmen).

So, enjoy and have a weird one!
