Dear friends, you know the first headliner of MetalGate Czech Death Fest 2017, but that is not the end of this year's roster! The next batch of confirmed bands is here, this time comprised of one foreign guest and three local packs; all primarily death metal oriented.

Get ready for:

Death metal warmachine from the Dutch city of Amersfoort, whose history unfolds in two phases. The early one begins in 2000, when BLOODPHEMY were established, and ends in 2003, when the band was put on hold so to speak. During those three years, BLOODPHEMY released their demo “Section 8”. The second chapter began 12 years later. In 2015, the band returned in almost original line-up, but with a new approach that sees the solid death metal base combined with melodic and even industrial vibes. A year later, the band released its debut EP “Blood Will Tell”, which will be followed in March 2017 by another creation, entitled “Bloodline”. Well, some things simply take time.

DISFIGURED CORPSE stand without a doubt among the veterans of the Czech extreme metal scene, for they spread their uncompromising death/grind already from 1991. Since then, the band released five studio albums, toured Europe several times, support legends such as Death, Benediction, Behemoth, Hypocrisy, Pungent Stench, Napalm Death or Holy Moses, as well as took two breaks – the first between 1996 and 1999, and the second from September 2011 to summer 2016, when DC came back to celebrate 25 years on scene. For that occasion, the band released a special anniversary album “25 let znetvořené mrtvoly”. So, wish them all the best on MGCDF 2017!

NAHUM (cz)

The death-thrash pack from Ostrava, established in 2004, initially under the name Unhuman. After first shows, a demo release, the band was put on hold in 2006. Three years later, NAHUM returned in full strength, releasing their debut album “The Gates Are Open” in 2012, followed by the second creation “And The Chaos Has Begun” in 2015. That year, the band also visited MGCDF. This year they return, and you should not miss them.

The Czech thrash/death metal quartet established in 2010, yet active since 2015, when the band released its debut EP “Depressive Hunt” and played its first live shows. Their first studio album, entitled “Pitfall”, came out last year, and with it, HORRIBLE CREATURES are heading to MGCDF 2017. So, give them a helluva welcome!
