Chapter seventeen: weed and porn

Chapter 17 - WEED AND PORN
Tortharry keeps looking for a new guitarist. Six months later, Máca, an easy going fellow from the feral region of “Zápolice” (beyond the city of Police nad Metují lies an incredibly small village called Žďár nad Metují). This renowned businessman, dealing in dildos, rubber vaginas, latex, whips, handcuffs and other adult toys, first joined the tribute band CZECH SEPULTURA REVIVAL, where he met Dan and Lemy, who were also members. Thus, shortly afterwards (sometime towards the end of 2004) he teamed up also with Tortharry which at that time was gaining recognition in the Czech Republic. To his first rehearsal, Máca arrived in a black Trabant (indeed a rarity in 2004), which clearly signified that he would fit more than well with the rest of the guys.
At that time, Tortharry is also looking for a new drummer, which proves a more difficult feat. After numerous try-outs, when the situation is looking grim, a teenager called Panther, who has been playing drums since his childhood and honing his skills in various local bands, appeared in Červený Kostelec. “His drumming skills are not bad. He has the looks so the girls will have something to look at. And the weed? Well, we’ll have some with him from time to time,” our guys assess, thus deeming Jirka “Panther” Rosa, the first class stoner, ripe for joining Tortharry. And so he did.
